The Code of Conduct for the protection of children is an initiative that has been promoted by MINCETUR in conjunction with the main guilds of the tourism sector. This code of conduct is a letter of commitment to prevent the sexual exploitation of children to which tourism service providers and other companies and institutions linked to the sector subscribe.
Its objective is to commit tourism companies to a socially responsible and ethical corporate policy against the sexual exploitation of children in the tourist destinations where they operate. The Code commits companies to train their personnel and disseminate information to tourists.
Exquisito Perú is committed to comply with the following clauses:
– Maintain an ethical policy of rejection of commercial sexual exploitation of children and adolescents in the field of tourism.
– Inform and train our staff on the company’s policy regarding the prevention of sexual exploitation of children and adolescents in tourism and travel.
– Maintain visible symbols that alert clients and suppliers of our position on sexual exploitation of children and adolescents in travel and tourism.
– Include a clause in contracts with tourism service providers stating the common rejection of sexual exploitation of children and adolescents. The company will use the following paragraph: “Tourism promotes a childhood and adolescence without sexual exploitation, therefore we do not accept any act that favors the sexual exploitation of children and adolescents”.
