Start off this chocolate workshop experience in Arequipa with some history about cacao and how chocolate is made, including how beans are selected and roasted, and then transformed into that delicious bar.
Next, you will prepare some hot chocolate, or cacahuatl, the way Aztecs – who are definitely not from Peru but played a major role in cacao consumption – used to drink it with some chili and cinnamon. You will get to use a mortar to prepare chocolate paste.
Finally, you will have the opportunity to get your hands dirty with the preparation of your own chocolates.
