You will start off with a biodiversity workshop where you will get the chance to discover numerous ingredients from different regions of Peru that you have probably never heard of. Some fruit tasting will be on the menu, which will be followed by a chocolate tasting session and a fun quiz!
The second stop will all be about the Andes. Although tourists typically will associate Andean cuisine with cuy and pachamanca, you will quickly realize there's so much more to this part of Peru.
Next, accompanied by your guide, you will be heading to the third stop where the Amazon, a.k.a. selva will be the star. You will have the opportunity to taste delicious bites from the jungle. All this from Lima – how cool?
To punctuate the journey on a high note, the Pacific Coast will be the vedette. You will indulge yourself in a mostly fish and shellfish based round of bites, with a nikkei touch, before getting some dessert – as always, there will still be room for that, of course!

  • The best high end food tour in Lima

This was such a unique tour! Cecilia was wonderful, and was excited to share her knowledge of the many unique Peruvian ingredients used in the dishes we tried. The three restaurants we visited were great. Super trendy and delicious. We wouldn’t have found these places on our own. It was a ton of food, we were absolutely stuffed. And the cocktails were lovely! Can’t recommend highly enough.

  • One of a kind experience

Best. Food. Tour. Ever. For 4 hours we learned about the different foods, styles and cultures of the coastal, highland and Amazonian foods. Our guide, Dulce, was personable and informative. We had several drinks and ate at three amazing restaurants with creative and delicious food. This is an EXCLUSIVE tour and we gained entrance into two of Lima’s top restaurants and were treated like VIP’s. If you want a unique and memorable food experience in Lima, this is a must!

  • 02 Do we eat a lot during this gourmet tour? Does it constitute a meal?
    color/negro
Definitely! We recommend not eating anything else other than a light meal before this experience. The portions served at each stop are sized like in a typical multiple-course gourmet meal.

    color/negro
Pick up and drop off is included within the neighborhoods of Miraflores, Barranco and San Isidro. For other locations, it can be arranged at an extra cost from/to pretty much anywhere in the city. Of course price will vary depending on the distance and the type of vehicle you need for your party.

  • 05 Is this food tour physically demanding?
    color/negro
Not at all! A car/van/bus will be accompanying the group for the whole duration of the tour.
  • 06 I’m a solo traveller. Can I book this tour too?
    color/negro
For this tour, bookings are currently only available for parties of at least two people.
  • 07 Is this food tour family friendly? If I'm bringing an infant/very young child, do I need to purchase a ticket for them?
    color/negro
Infants/children under 6, are only required to purchase a ticket and pay the "Under 18" rate if you'd like them to have access to their own food servings. If you prefer to share your food with your little ones and/or if you want them to eat the food you prepared for them before the tour, there is no need to purchase a ticket for them – they can participate for free.

Non-paying children will need to sit on the laps of their parents as space in some of the places we visit is strictly limited to paying customers. There can't be more non-paying children than adults.

Any child from 6 years old onwards will need to pay the "Under 18" rate.

Please let us know in the booking comments if non-paying children are going to be present so our guide knows and will be prepared for it.

  • 11 Is this tour wheelchair accessible?
    color/negro
Unfortunately, this tour is only partially wheelchair accessible. Sadly, the first stop is only accessible through a staircase. The good news is that we would still be able to offer you a tailor-made tour to adapt to your needs without that first stop. Reach out to us via email to make this possible.
  • 12 Do you offer any other tour?
    color/negro
Yes, we have several food tours in the bank. Each of them offer a different perspective on Peruvian gastronomy. We like to think we have an option for all budgets and interests! Although we specialize in food tourism, if you'd like to visit a museum, or another area of Lima not covered by one of our tours, please do let us know – we will for sure be able to arrange something with the help of our trusted partners.
  • 13 Is Lima safe?
    color/negro
Just like in any big city, you have to be careful with your belongings in crowded areas. Of course, Peru being a country with big inequalities showing off the latest smartphone or an expensive watch in the street could unfortunately make you a target for thieves. But if you keep a low profile, you should be more than fine!
  • 14 How likely am I to get sick?
    color/negro
With our tour, extremely unlikely. All the stops are carefully vetted by our team and we run regular checks to make sure they maintain the same standards, both in terms of quality of the food as well as hygiene. Food poisoning is of course something that shouldn't be ignored in Peru, so we always recommend to eat or drink at places that were recommended by at least one local person, combined with positive online reviews.
  • 15 Are pets allowed on the tour?
    color/negro
While we absolutely adore pets and understand they’re part of the family, our tours are unfortunately not pet-friendly. This policy is in place to ensure the comfort, safety, and enjoyment of all guests, as well as to comply with venue and transportation restrictions. Not everyone is as open-minded as we'd all like, sadly!
